The Fort Bend Astronomy Club (FBAC) is grateful for gifts from individuals, members, foundations, and corporations in support of our mission. FBAC is a long-standing 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a 509(a)(2) public charity, serving our members and the general public in Fort Bend County, Texas.
FBAC has touched the lives of over 200,000 people through the astronomy outreach we perform at the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s George Observatory and over 70,000 students, teachers and parents through the club’s Astronomy On Wheels program.
In 2024, through corporate and individual gifts, FBAC purchased and installed a new CDK-17 PlaneWave Dall–Kirkham Telescope in the East Dome of the George Observatory, providing an enhanced experience for public stargazing events and supporting FBAC’s contribution of real scientific results to the greater astronomical community.
