This vote is to elect FBAC’s President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Member-at-Large for the term running from Sept 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.

Solar Telescope and Mount for Loaner and Outreach – APPROVED
The Board is asking the club to approve a budget of $2,300 for the purchase of a solar telescope, accessories, and mount. In accordance with FBAC Bylaws, any purchase over $1,000 needs to be approved by a club vote. FBAC currently has $1,933 left in a donor-restricted fund for a new loaner scope and mount. Those funds will be used to cover this purchase with the remaining coming from the FBAC general account if needed.
The equipment that we are looking to purchase is a Lunt 50mm Ha Solar Telescope & accessories, and a Skywatcher Solar Quest Sun Tracker Mount
This telescope will be part of our loaner scope inventory. It can also be used for outreach during daytime events like we typically have at Brazos Bend State Park or during daylight hours at Astronomy On Wheels events.
