East Dome Committee
The East Dome Committee was formed in February 2002 by then FBAC President Keith Rivich. It's purpose was to get more club members actively involved in training, operating and maintaining the club's primary asset, the 18" telescope in the East Dome at the George Observatory in Brazos Bend State Park. In the committee's first report at the May 2002 meeting, "The goal of the East Dome Committee is twofold: keep the East Dome clean and in good mechanical condition, and help make the dome accessible to every FBAC member who wants to use it." These continue to be the committee's primary goals.
The East Dome remodeling has been completed. A brief write-up and photo gallery is HERE
